Paper
Tilbury is the UK’s leading port for handling paper products and is the major entry port for the London print houses and publishers in the south-east.

Containers
For cargo owners transporting containerised cargo between continental Europe and the UK, the port’s Short-Sea Container Terminal can offer them a dedicated service with fast throughput and ready access to major consumer markets in London and the south-east.

General Cargo and Ro-Ro
The Port is able to offer a selection of diverse cargo handling facilities for all types of general cargo and it has a reputation for being the principal port of choice for general cargo handling in London and the South-east.

Grain and Animal Feed
The Port's Grain Terminal facility handles between 1.3 and 1.4 million tonnes per year, making it one of the biggest in the UK.
The Port of Tilbury is ideally positioned for the grain trade. Products can be loaded for export to destinations worldwide, while imports are discharged in the heart of South East England, with its huge consumer market and excellent road links for distribution to local and regional flour mills.

Bulk Products
The handling of dry bulks has become a significant business in its own right, which has dedicated handling and storage facilities. One of the most important products is animal feed, which is imported and stored for use by farmers in the UK.
The port has a purpose built bulks warehouse, capable of storing up to 60,000 tonnes of animal feed and other compatible agribulks.
