Managing Director
Joined MEPC PLC in 1986. In 1996 he joined the UK Board, before joining the Executive Committee in 1999. In 2001 he left to join JER Partners as a Director responsible for Asset Management and Acquisitions in the UK and Northern Europe. In the summer of 2004 he relocated to Scotland with his family before joining Forth Ports in November 2004. He took over as Managing Director in January 2006.

Following an MBA gained 20 years marketing experience in the retail, automotive and finance sectors. Joined Forth Ports PLC in November 2006 as part of a team selected to define and develop the long-term value within Forth Ports’ £300m property portfolio. Prior to this spent 6 years as Kwik-Fit’s Marketing Director responsible for the UK marketing operations across a network of 670 centres, 190 mobile tyre fitting vehicles and 15 different local brands including brand leader, Kwik-Fit. Prior to Kwik-Fit held brand and marketing management positions with NEXT plc and The Leeds, now part of HBOS.

Project Management
Joined the Property Division of Forth Ports PLC in October 2005 and is the Project Director responsible for construction across the portfolio. Formerly a Regional Director of the property division of the Capita Group with specific responsibility for the £1billion Glasgow Harbour mixed use regeneration project on the River Clyde. Douglas is also a Director of Blake Homes which is a social housing charity and sits on the property Board of Clydebank Re-built which is an urban regeneration company formed between Scottish Enterprise Dumbartonshire and West Dumbartonshire Council.

MICHAELA SULLIVAN
Planning
Michaela joined Forth Ports in 2006, to take responsibility for the planning strategy and securing of planning permissions for the regeneration of the Waterfront. Michaela was formerly Assistant Chief Planner for Scotland, where she took a leading role in the development of Scotland’s new planning legislation: The Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 2006.

Michaela has a background in management consultancy and the housebuilding industry, and has provided advice for key clients and secured planning permission for a range of major mixed use and residential developments throughout her career.
DERRICK TURNER
DERRICK TURNER
Finance & Corporate Development
Spent the last five years as Finance Director of the EDI Group, a private property development and investment company owned by City of Edinburgh Council, prior to which he worked in a variety of financial management roles with East of Scotland Water. Derrick has been involved in development projects across most property sectors; Office, Residential, Retail, Industrial, Infrastructure and Regeneration, at all stages from structuring financing and land acquisition to completion and sale. He has also been responsible for introducing policies and systems at corporate level, in such areas as investment portfolio analysis, strategic risk management, and sustainability.

Stewart joined Forth Ports in September 2007 as Head of Development.

A Chartered Surveyor with nearly 20 years experience in the private and public sectors, Stewart joins from National Grid Property where he was latterly responsible for the team charged with releasing value from the surplus property portfolio. This included the regeneration of the former gasworks site at Granton, the new Scottish Gas HQ and Telford College.
NICOLA HARMON
NICOLA HARMON
Head of Retail
Nicola joined Forth Ports in September 2007, as Head of Retail, with particular emphasis on Ocean Terminal and the retail element within the regeneration of The Waterfront.

Formerly Head of Retail with HBG Properties, where she had responsibility for the physical and financial re-engineering of their retail, portfolio.

Nicola has also worked in commercial property development in America.
