Liquid Bulks
Grangemouth is a key industry location, home to Scotland’s largest refinery. The port offers dedicated facilities for liquid bulk handling, suitable for a large range of liquid bulks, including crude oil, petroleum, oil derivatives, chemicals, vegetable oils and molasses. Here, the import and export of liquid bulk is conducted via customer operated facilities but also offers a common user jetty.
Of our other Scottish ports; Dundee offers a customer dedicated facility that is well-equipped to manage crude oil, petroleum, and liquid fertiliser. Capacity for common user capacity is also available. There are also two specialist Marine Terminals on the Forth at Hound Point and Braefoot Bay which are significant liquid bulk terminals.
In London, The Port of Tilbury also offers our customers the capacity to handle liquid bulks, of a non-hazardous nature, through bespoke silo-based solutions. Tilbury is host to a bespoke CO² facility dedicated to the storage and distribution of bulk liquid via specialised pipeline systems that allow the vessel to discharge direct to silo, this import facility is conducted via a customer operated facility.
